A lot of you visited, only one clicked ‘like’. Merry Christmas…

Please click ‘like’ when you visit me. It means a lot.

Today is Christmas and my birthday. My wonderful daughter was here from Oxford.

It was so great to see her, to be in her presence. It’s been a bittersweet day, as she’s told me a lot of mistakes I made. It was painful for me.

No mother is perfect, and we all want to protect our children from hurt. I never set out to hurt my daughter.

It’s a minefield out there.

I’ve been wheezy most of the day.

I wonder why I wasted my health on the people I did. Especially my ex-husband. He has become the most difficult person in my life. We were friends for a long time but now that my health is poor, he stays away and couldn’t care less.

I pity him. He thinks his perceptions are truth. In fact, he’s never put any belief in me but makes it up as he goes along.

I've read poetry since I was nine and have written creatively since I was fourteen (probably long before that). After writing book reviews and social comment, I decided I wanted to write poetry. I have no formal training, but I surround myself with poets and their writing. I am honing my craft.
I have two published collections which I don't feel good about, but have been published by madswirl.com and other publications. I live on the south coast of England with my daughter. I am seriously ill.

The fact that you have a child going to Oxford speaks volumes right there. You said it and it is true, There is no such thing as a perfect mother or father for that matter. Sorry she waited till Christmas to share these things. Don’t be to hard on yourself. If all is mothers were completely crushed by the things we didn’t do right, the world might stop spinning. Haha
(0h and on the like button, I chatted with WordPress for a long time as I had 147 visits on a post and only 47 likes. They told me there was a lot of complaints about this and that it was true. If you use Safari like I do, every time they update their OS system it creates compatibility issues. I can’t update to the new OS “Big Sur” as there is something not working right in my computer. We had a lovely Apple representative that worked with me for just under two hours. I have to go to a mall to get it fixed which I am not going to do right now. Then they gave me several other steps to do to hopefully give me my likes. When I comment on other people’s work sometimes I have to hit the button up to three times before it stays. Chrome is suppose to work better. I am given this long explanation hopefully so you may know why that may be happening. It has nothing to do with you. Sending a thousand likes for the ones you didn’t receive. Love ❤️ Joni
